08.03. - 10.05.: on these dates I always put my PowerPoint slides on the learning platform on Mondays (until 10:00 am), which are also discussed with an explanatory text. You can then download these slides at any time. This lecture does NOT take place in an online presence format.

Aims, contents and method of the course

Method: This lecture will take place online until further notice, in accordance with government guidelines. On the dates mentioned, you will find the Power Point slides of the corresponding lecture unit on the Moodle learning platform between March 8th, 2021 and May 10th, 2021 and an audio file for each slide with my spoken text that you can click on.

Contents: Historical aspects of the human-animal relationship (hunting, religions, prehistoric extermination, domestication, diseases) up to the present day. Current animal-human interactions, human-animal relationships, animal ethics, animal welfare, animal law

Assessment and permitted materials

Four exam dates between the end of May 2021 and the end of the winter semester 20/21.
The first appointment takes place in the form of oral one-on-one interviews online in the second half of May.
The 2nd appointment takes place in written form at the University.
Information on the 3rd and 4th exam dates will follow (3rd date planned for autumn 2021, 4th date planned for winter 21/22)

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Providing an overview-like picture of previous and existing animal-human interactions; content of anthrozoology.

Examination topics

Lecture for students of anthropology, but also for everyone
other branches of study; Lecture notes for the lecture can be downloaded during the lecture (Moodle).
