Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

This course will give you a survey of and a first training in field methods (e.g. vegetation relevees or plots) used in vegetation ecology in a natural landscape.

The data gathered in the field are the basis for the second part of the course held in the next winter semester, where you will learn how to analize and interprete this kind of multvariate data.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Learn an practice sampling techniques of vegetation ecology in very different vegetation types such as forests, rock crevices, scree and meadows.

Examination topics

Learn the Florula of the area, practice relevee making, input in a data base

Necessary equipment: Rain gear, Alpine boots
