Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
In this seminar central issues within the area of conflict between man, society and environment are covered: sustainable development; energy, resources and environment; nature conservation; agronomy, nutrition and health; waste management and recycling, globalisation and international development, climate change, environmental education etc. Aim of this course is, to gain a basic understanding for the complexity of human ecology by means of these examples, which might change from year to year depending on the number of participants. Moreover, the selected issues are well suited für preparing the prospecting teachers for the most important environmental concerns which are to be teached at General Higher Schools (AHS) according to the curriculum. The mentioned issues are prepared autonomously by the students in small working groups and presented as obligatory ppt-presentations.
