Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

We will start by learning the statistical programming language R. Previous programming experience is not essential but will be helpful.
Then we will address selected topics of the accompanying lectures. We will write short scripts (and run more complex ones) to simulate various data analysis tasks.

A more detailed syllabus is available from Dr. András Aszódi upon request.

Assessment and permitted materials

Permanent assessment of exercise results. We will also have 3 online tests during the course.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Participants will be able to investigate biological questions using molecular biologic data sets using basic mathematical models and statistical methods.

Evaluation scale of submitted exercise solutions:
<50%: 5
<62.5%: 4
<75%: 3
<87.5%: 2
>=87.5%: 1

Examination topics

Practical exercises with R-based software.

Reading list

Will be provided during the exercise on the elearning platform.
