Practical part of the Bachelor thesis project can be carried out in ANY molecular biology-related research labs of your choice at the institutes of campus Vienna Biocenter, research institutes in Vienna and beyond (also internationally) or in R&D laboratories of for-profit industrial partners. DO NOT ALLOCATE POINTS FOR THESE INTERNSHIP! THERE IS NO REGISTRATION DEADLINE FOR THIS INTERNSHIP; registrations are possible throughout the year by filling out the registration form available at https://molekularebiologie.univie.ac.at/en/bachelor-studies/bachelor-project/
Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
During this practical course the participants will deal with selected examples of experiments related to the field of molecular microbiology, molecular developmental biology and genetics. The methods used are mainly, but not exclusively those acquired during their studies. Design and execution of experiments, documentation and discussion of results have to be summarized in a protocol.
Assessment and permitted materials
Compulsory attendance; the evaluation consists of different performances: active participation and results obtained, written report, theoretical knowledge including final exam (the percentage of the subgrades will be announced by the course leader); each of the subgrades must have a positive evaluation.
