Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
Students will gain hands-on experience in conducting experiments designed to address key biological questions in the fields of Chromosome and RNA Biology. They will work with a range of model organisms, including human cell cultures, yeast, Arabidopsis thaliana, and Caenorhabditis elegans. Through this work, students will develop proficiency in experimental techniques across diverse biological systems, enhancing their versatility and expertise in modern molecular biology research.
Assessment and permitted materials
Compulsory attendance; Assessment - active participation and results obtained, theoretical knowledge, final presentation and discussion of the work.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
The evaluation comprises multiple components: active participation and experimental results, theoretical knowledge assessment, presentation and discussion of the work, and an (optional) final exam. The weight of each component will be specified by the course leader. A positive evaluation is required for each component to successfully complete the course.
