Classes
Scientific Practice I and II are internships (lab rotations) in individual research labs, aimed at training students in scientific method and various research techniques in the context of research questions/hypotheses addressed in the chosen lab. These internships can be carried out in ANY lab of your choice that is performing active research in a related topic. This can be at the institutes of Campus Vienna Biocenter (VBC), research institutes in Vienna and beyond (also internationally) or in R&D laboratories of for-profit industrial partners. Please notice that an examiner different from your direct supervisor may be displayed in your Transcript of Records. DO NOT ALLOCATE POINTS FOR THESE INTERNSHIPS! THERE IS NO REGISTRATION DEADLINE FOR THESE INTERNSHIPS; registrations are possible throughout the year by filling out the registration form and forwarding it for approval to the coordinator. Further information and form:
Individual instruction in advanced techniques applied in Molecular Cell Biology to answer specific questions related to ongoing research. Independent design and execution of experiments, documentation, discussion, and summary of results in a protocol.
