Classes
Scientific Practice I and II are internships (lab rotations) in individual research labs (PLEASE IGNORE THE LIST OF LECTURERS; check the link below about finding participating labs), aimed at training students in scientific method and various research techniques in the context of research questions/hypotheses addressed in the chosen lab. These internships can be carried out in ANY molecular biology-related research labs of your choice at the institutes of campus Vienna Biocenter, research institutes in Vienna and beyond (also internationally) or in R&D laboratories of for-profit industrial partners. DO NOT ALLOCATE POINTS FOR THESE INTERNSHIPS! THERE IS NO REGISTRATION DEADLINE FOR THESE INTERNSHIPS; registrations are possible throughout the year by filling out the registration form available at https://molekularebiologie.univie.ac.at/en/lab-internships/scientific-practice/and forwarding it for approval to the coordinator. Further information at https://molekularebiologie.univie.ac.at/en/lab-internships/scientific-practice/
Individual instruction in advanced techniques applied in Molecular Cell Biology to answer specific questions related to ongoing neuroscience research. Independent design and execution of experiments, documentation, discussion, and summary of results in a protocol.
