The presence of all participants for all scheduled seminars is compulsory.

Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

The seminar on Human Nutrition is intended to discuss recent topics in nutritional sciences including the design of nutritional studies associated to diet related issues, the evaluation and interpretation of results from nutritional studies including statistical methodology, modern aspects of epigenetics, and the discussion of ongoing and recent large nutritional epidemiological studies. The seminar also provides an opportunity to practice presentation skills including scientific talks, design and layout of scientific presentations, and discussing controversial issues.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Grades for the seminar are based on the summary (40%) and the presentation (60%).

This course requires regular attendance by participants in order to discuss the presentations and input from the lecturers. One absence (after notification) is permitted. Repeated absences without good reason will result in a negative assessment.
