Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Human nutrition represents the main topic of the curriculum. Together with the more advandced moduls 10 and 8 (food sciences) the main knowledge on nutrition are being communicated.
The main objective is to get insights into macronutrient´s metabolism (fat and fatty acids, carbohydrates as well as protein and amino acids), dietary fibre, cholesterol, alcohol and the water balance.
A further objective is to get insights into the body composition and the direct link to macronutrients.
The link of macronutrients to nutrition associated diseases will be discussed.

written exam, open and MC questions

Exam duration: 90 min

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

at least 60% of correct answers to pass the exam
<39 points: 5; 39-43,5 points: 4; 44-51,5 points: 3; 52-59,5 points: 2; 60-65 points: 1
