Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Translation of selected technical texts of different topics from German into Italian and vice-versa (parallel texts); we will work on the various topics trying to simulate a real working situation.

All information and student comunication will be made via platform.

The course tackles the comparison of German and Italian parallel texts and faims to find optimal strategic approaches to these texts in order to generate a translation adequate to a hypothetic commission, taking into account the conditions of a real working situation.

Assessment and permitted materials

Continuous control, attendence, home-works, platform-work, on-line simulation of a translation assignment, final written exam (translation from A to B-language and vice-versa).

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

C2 level for both working languages

Examination topics

The final exam tackles an issue discussed during the term.
