Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Einführung ins literarische und mediale Übersetzen aus dem Japanischen ins Deutsche. Besonderes Augenmerk wird dabei auf die literarische Textanalyse und Lektüreübung in der Ausgangsprache Japanisch gelegt. Für das Sommersemester 2019 wird außerdem die Übersetzung von Texten für das NET-GTAS-Projekt (Network of Translators for the Globalization of Testimonies of A-Bomb Survivors) geplant. Übersetzt werden die japanischen Untertitel von Videoberichten der Atombombenopfer ins Deutsche.

Die Übersetzung der einzelnen Texte wird von den Studierenden in Einzel- oder Gruppenarbeit schriftlich vorbereitet und in der Lehrveranstaltung besprochen.
Ziele der LV: Vertiefung und Erweiterung landes- und kulturkundlicher Kenntnisse über Japan sowie Kompetenz in übersetzungsrelevanter Textanalyse, Sensibilisierung für praktische und theoretische Anforderungen einer literarischen Übersetzung sowie Förderung der Teamfähigkeit durch die Projektteilnahme.

Assessment and permitted materials

Aktive Mitarbeit, Hausübungen (inkl. Plattformarbeit), Übersetzungsprojekt, Abschlusstest. Als Hilfsmittel beim Test dürfen ein- und zweisprachige Wörterbücher sowie elektronische Wörterbücher verwendet werden.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Zur positiven Absolvierung der Lehrveranstaltung müssen 60% aller Teilleistungen positiv erfüllt sein. Es besteht Anwesenheitspflicht (max. 2 Fehlstunden).
