Aims, contents and method of the course

Content:

1) Presentation and definition of coordinative abilities relevant to school sports and their safety aspects

2) Learning and training processes are tested on selected coordinative abilities and subsequently reflected upon

3) Age-appropriate, gender-specific, and playful exercise variations are learned and implemented

4) The importance of training coordinative abilities is recognized

5) Training opportunities and models for developing coordinative abilities are identified

6) Presentations and training sessions on individual coordinative abilities using exemplary exercises and contemporary and traditional materials can be conducted

7) Independent research on the topic of coordinative abilities is carried out

Objectives:

Students should be able to:
- plan, implement, and reflect on teaching concepts for developing coordinative abilities
- have tested and reflected upon learning and training processes using selected coordinative abilities as examples
- improve their own coordinative skills
- be able to select teaching concepts according to age, gender, and training level and explain

-have knowledge about the implementation and organization of attractive, health-promoting, and safety-compliant units

-have gained an overview of relevant literature and can apply specialist knowledge in accordance with teaching-appropriate objectives
Method:
Alternating between lecture, group work, research, demonstration, presentation, and reflection.

Assessment and permitted materials

1) Teaching presentation on a given topic and a written record of the entire lesson

2) Literature review on two selected coordinative abilities (school context), theoretical work

3) Attendance, participation
All work completed by students must be submitted by April 30 at the latest for courses with continuous assessment in the winter semester and by September 30 at the latest for courses with continuous assessment in the summer semester. Students who have not withdrawn from the course in question must be assessed. In the event of a negative assessment, a commission examination is not permitted and the course must be repeated. Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

1. In-person instruction: at least 75% attendance (absences must be excused!)

4. Literature review (1 article on a chosen coordinative ability and its connection to school sports) plus a commentary in your own words on its message and relevance to school (10 points = 10%)

5. Bonus points for attendance (0 points = 5 points, max. 1 point = 3 points)

2. 89-80 points
3. 79-70 points
4. 69-60 points
5. <60 points
