Aims, contents and method of the course

In the seminar, students are taught essential content and methods of the field of nutrition, exercise and health. After the initial lectures on the topics of evidence in science, research methodology and GCP (Good Clinical Practice), the second part of the seminar is devoted to the central topics of the field of work in the form of a presentation and a seminar paper. In the remaining terms, the methods will be explained in practice.

Assessment and permitted materials

Graded PowerPoint presentation (30% of the grade) and seminar paper (70% of the grade).
The entire performance by students must be completed by the following April 30 at the latest for courses subject to examinations in the winter semester, and by the following September 30 at the latest for courses subject to examinations in the summer semester. Students who have not withdrawn from the course in question. Students who have not deregistered from the course in question are to be assessed. In the case of a negative assessment, a board examination is not permitted and the course must be repeated. Legal source: Statutes of the University of Vienna §10 (4, 5, 6).

You are expressly informed that if you are found to have cheated (e.g.: Copying, plagiarizing, use of unauthorized aids, forgery, ghostwriting, etc.) the entire PI-LV will be considered cheated and will count as a citation. (Entry in U:SPACE: X = not assessed).
