Aims, contents and method of the course

Europäische Integration als Projekt der Gemeinsamkeit, der Verständigung. Welche sind die (End-)Ziele der europäischen Integration (Staatenbund oder Bundesstaat)? Welche Rolle / Aufgaben können dabei die Philologien übernehmen? Im Vordergrund steht dabei die Sprachproblematik (z.B. Frage der Stellung der offiziellen EU-Sprachen, Bildungssprache[n]), brauchen wir eine einheitliche Verwaltungs-/Verkehrssprache? usw. Zur Diskussion steht die Sprach- und Bildungspolitik, die Frage der Förderung von Zwei- bzw. Mehrsprachigkeitskonzepten, Alphabetbeschaffung für bestimmte Minderheiten, Medienpolitik, Verlage etc.
Integration schließt Förderung des europäischen Bewusstseins – was ist darunter zu verstehen?
Wahrnehmung kultureller europäischer Identität und ethnischer Vielfalt im Bildungswesen. Rolle der Philologie(n) bei der Vermittlung / Vermeidung / Aufarbeitung von sprach-, kulturpolitischen, Konflikten (z.B. im Zusammenhang mit Minderheiten, Grenzkonflikten etc). Abbau von Vorurteilen
Ein weiteres Thema ist die Frage historische Vorbilder / Erfahrungen mit multiethnischen, multilingualen, multikulturellen, multikonfessionellen etc. Staatsgebilden (Österreich-Ungarn, Sowjetunion, Jugoslawien, Tschechoslowakei, Indien, …)
