Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

In quantum experiments, coherence is the most basic concept leading to interference and superposition. In the seminar, it will be discussed how quantum states of photons are brought into superposition and how these superpositions can be exploited in various applications. An especially interesting topic is the considerable stability of photonic quantum states against decoherence.
