Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
Current research topics in the field of astronomy and astrophysics. Each seminar consists of two informal presentations of ~25 min each with 10-15 min talk plus 5-10 min discussion (during and/or after presentation). PhD students have priority over other speakers from the Department of Astrophysics. Occasionally guests can take free slots. Includes one date for Fakultätsöffentliche Präsentation (FÖP).
Assessment and permitted materials
The assessment will be based on active participation, i.e., contributing to the discussions through asking questions and providing input.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
The meetings are in English. A minimum participation of 75% is required as well as at least one informal presentation.
Examination topics
Current research topics in the field of astronomy and astrophysics.
Reading list
The presentations will include references to relevant publications.
