Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

The Working Groups belonging to Human Geography jointly organize this PhD thesis course. The purpose of the course is to establish and support a culture of peer review and collaboration, to source perspectives from throughout Human Geography, and to "institutionalize" the progression of dissertation research. Rather than a formal, frontal presentation, the course is more like a workshop and interactive round-table discussion.

Setting:
- ca. 60 minutes per PhD student (25-30 min presentation, 10-15 min comments and suggestions from the discussant, 20 min questions and comments from the audience)
- Invited discussants are asked to prepare presentations, summarizing the strengths of the PhD project, identifying potentials for improvement and offering other advice.

Post docs are explicitly invited and welcomed.
