After attending this course, the participants will be able to understand certain poems in a broader context, that is, they will be able to critically approach, review and re-examine established notions about the literary epochs or poetics. While reading and analysing the 19th century Serbian poetry which mentions the cosmos, i.e. the poetry that contains cosmic elements and motifs, students will have the opportunity to learn about an alternative course in the Serbian poetic tradition. During the course, poems by authors such as Jovan Hadžić, Sima Milutinović Sarajlija, Petar Petrovic Njegoš, Branko Radičević, Jovan Jovanović Zmaj, Laza Kostić and Vojislav Ilić will be read and interpreted.
