Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Deepening of language skills (CEFR). Processing of written or spoken texts. In addition to texts from everyday life, the focus will be on linguistic, literary and cultural studies topics from Slovak culture, literature and linguistic history.

Assessment and permitted materials

Oral and written examination (dates will be discussed in the course). Regular attendance and active participation are also taken into account.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

The students are able to understand linguistic, literary as well as areal and cultural studies texts (also specialist texts) and to reproduce their contents in writing as well as verbally. At the same time, the exercise will track differences between colloquial language and terminology as well as between standard and substandard varieties.
