Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Discussion of currently treated topics in the environmental chemistry and eco-toxicology, especially for diploma/master students and PhD students. Extraction of heavy metals from waste water using a new class of extracting agents based on the concept of functionalized hydrophobic ionic liquids.
Recent developments in chemistry-politics and regulations in regard of potential (eco)toxicity of chemicals.

attendance of the kick off meting compulsory
presence at 80% of the seminars must be given (2 absences possible)
active participation in the discussion
quality of the presentation

Examination topics

active participation in the discussion
presentation of about 40 minutes on a topic of choice (assisted by the PI)
