Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

In the course, current debates from the field of educational research and theory and inclusive educational science will be discussed. The seminar leader will make suggestions for relevant debates, but the selection of debates will be made jointly in the seminar.

The aim of the seminar for the doctoral students is to be able to participate argumentatively in exemplary current international debates in educational research and theory and inclusive education and its borderline areas, thus strengthening the foundations of their respective dissertations.

Debates on inclusion, law, and justice in the face of the global challenges of the 21st century will be discussed.
We will start with a current debate about the already approved texts in the World Forum: Human Education in the 3rd Millennium.

The texts will be discussed together and, if possible, authors (via zoom) will be invited afterwards.

Assessment and permitted materials

The prerequisite for the performance evaluation is active participation with a maximum of two absences.
The performance assessment consists of the introduction to a text, a debate (if necessary in teams) and an individual research diary in which the significance of the respective debates for one's own dissertation is reflected.
Both parts will count for 50% of the grade.
