Information
Examination topics
Solid state physics
Assessment and permitted materials
Oral examination: provided slides will be used for checking the understanding of solid state physics
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Minimal requirement: Basic understanding of solid state physics (passed).
E.g.,: what is a crystal? How can the structure of solid matter be determined? How can electronic, thermal, magnetic, optical, elastic properties of crystalline matter be understood and which techniques for exploring the properties can be used?
Two to four central questions will be asked:
E.g.,: what is a crystal? How can the structure of solid matter be determined? How can electronic, thermal, magnetic, optical, elastic properties of crystalline matter be understood and which techniques for exploring the properties can be used?
Two to four central questions will be asked:
- did not unterstand basic concepts=>nicht genügend
- basic concepts understood=>genügend
- +able to properly explain these concepts=>befriedigend
- + able to apply these concepts=>gut
- +exceeding basic concepts (e.g., calculations)=>sehr gut
