Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Introducing the major mechanisms responsible for the distribution of nutrients, oxygen and organic matter. Introducing important concepts in biogeochemistry dealing with organic matter production, export and remineralization of organic matter in the ocean. In the practical course (4 hours) we will analyze data from public oceanographic databases to get hands on experience with analysis of biogeochemical data and to deepen the knowledge gained during the lecture.
