This exam is strictly for students who are registered on the course Business English II during WS 2020/21.
Any other students are not eligible to register for this exam.

Examination topics

OOPT stands for Oxford Online Placement Test. It is a standardized test that tests your level of English. The online test is divided up into two sections – Use of English and Listening. The Use of English section assesses students' knowledge of grammatical form and vocabulary. The Listening section assesses students’ general listening ability. Both sections test how well students understand the meaning of what is being communicated.

Assessment and permitted materials

This is a digital exam. Detailed instructions will follow via email once the registration period has closed. One the day of the exam you will receive an access code via email shortly before the exam and need to log onto the testing site. Your time starts to count down once you have clicked on "start test" and you have to submit your answers online before your time runs out.

Please note that the use of dictionaries or any other referencing material is not permitted.

allocated time: 75 minutes (you MUST finish the exam within the allocated time or you will not be able to receive an overall result).

Please note that The Oxford Placement Test is an adaptive test, which means that the test adjusts the difficulty of questions based on the student’s responses.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

For students looking to successfully complete BEII:
You need to reach 91 points or more in order to complete the Business English II course.
