Assessment and permitted materials

Assessment is based on the results of the written exam (120 min on-site or 130 min online, including download/upload time) at the end of the lecture series allowing participants to gain a maximum of 100 percentage points. COVID19 rules: Depending on the epidemiological situation and government and university rules at the time of the exam, the exams will be held either on site or online (via Moodle). Both on-site and online exams will be held as open-book, with textbooks of your choice and lecture notes available as allowed materials. All other materials and all forms of help from third persons are not allowed. The sources of direct and indirect quotes must be properly referenced. Plausibility tests could be held within 4 weeks (28 days) after each online exam.
Active participation in the course (documented through attendance of ALL live online consultation sessions AND posting of at least 8 (eight) original topic-related questions per participant in the course Moodle forum before the 1st exam date) will be counted as a maximal of 15% bonus points to the final exam.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

To attain the pass grade, more than 50% points are necessary. Grading scheme: 1 (excellent): 85-100%; 2 (good): 75-84.99%; 3 (satisfactory): 65-74.99%; 4 (sufficient): 50-64.99%; 5 (not sufficient): <50%
