Studienberechtigungsprüfung (university entrance qualification examination)

Prerequisites for participating in the exams:

1. You have an admission letter for the university entrance qualification examination (Bescheid über die Zulassung zur Studienberechtigungsprüfung) issued by the University of Vienna or another Austrian University. The exam subject must be listed in the admission letter.
2. You are admitted to a non-degree programme at the University of Vienna. The prescribed tuition/Student's Union fee must have been paid when registering for the examination.
3. You register for the exam via u:space within the registration period. You will find the link to the registration directly at the exam. Registrations after the registration deadline or via the examiner are not possible.
4. You are well informed and prepared: On our website, you will find details on all requirements for registering for examinations and on the content of the individual examinations (only available in German).
5. You present your validated u:card or another valid official photo ID at the exam.

Examination before an examination committee (3rd examination attempt):

Register for the examination before a committee within the registration period for the regular exam via the Servicedesk.
Written exams before a committee take place during the regular exam session. For oral exams before a committee, you will be assigned an individual appointment in the same exam month as the regular exam.

Deregistration and notification of illness:

You are unable or unwilling to take an examination? Deregister from the examination via u:space within the deregistration period. The deregistration period is specified in u:find at the respective examination.
Are you ill? Please inform the examiner via e-mail and send a medical confirmation via the Servicedesk as soon as possible.
Please note: If you do not deregister from the exam within the deadline or, in the event of illness, do not submit a medical certificate, you will be blocked from the next possible exam date!
