Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Aims:
• Getting to know moral-psychological questions and concepts
• Interdisciplinary in-depth understanding of theological-ethical concepts and concepts
• Get to know the motivational and personality-psychological perspective of Julius Kuhl’s theory and apply it to morally-relevant questions
Content: In addition to a fundamental introduction to the importance of the moral-psychological perspective for theological ethics, Kuhl’s PSI theory is presented as a psychological reference model and the understanding of central theological-ethical concepts is deepened through this perspective. In the lecture, lectures are supplemented by questions and discussion.
Prerequisite for this lecture is basic knowledge of ethics or theological ethics. For those who have not yet completed basic lectures in ethics, the following book is helpful: Gerhard Marschütz, Theologisch ethisch nachdenken.

Assessment and permitted materials

Oral exam
During the oral exam, no means of aid are permitted.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

A 50% of the exam questions needs to be answered correctly to pass the exam. Each answer will be graded, and an average grade will be awarded.

Examination topics

The subject matter of the examination is the content presented in the lecture or the elaboration of the material on the basis of substitute literature.
