Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
Students understand fundamental concepts of parallel computing including: parallelism and concurrency, dependences, communication, coordination and synchronization. Students understand major parallelization strategies and are familiar with basic methods for performance analysis of parallel programs. Practical exercises and project work for programming parallel processors and systems.
Assessment and permitted materials
3 assignments must be submitted before the deadline and 3 tests (30 pts. each) passed. Attendance required.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
- 2 assignments positive: if test points < 50% Nicht Genügend (5), otherwise Genügend (4).- 3 assignments positive: grading is based on test points with>= 89% Sehr Gut (1)

>= 63% Befriedigend (3)
>= 50% Genügend (4)
