Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
In der Lehrveranstaltung werden grundlegende Werke der wissenschaftlichen Auseinandersetzung mit dem Balkanraum gelesen, beginnend mit wissenschaftlich arbeitenden Reisenden und Publizisten des frühen 19. Jahrhunderts über klassische Texte der Wiener Schule der Balkanforschung und Schlüsseltexte der entstehenden Nationalhistoriographien bis hin zu aktuellen Debatten zum Thema.
Assessment and permitted materials
Regelmässig aktive Teilnahme. Vor- und Nachbereitung der Einheiten (die ggf. überprüft wird). Kleinere schriftliche Recherchen. Schriftliche Vorstellung eines Werks.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Regelmässige aktive Teilnahme an der Diskussion. Gründliche Vor- und Nachbereitung des Stoffes. Bearbeitung und Präsentation einer Monographie.
Mündliche Mitarbeit 80% der Note. Schriftliche Arbeit 20%.
