Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

The aim of the course is to provide an introduction to different aspects of teaching and learning foreign languages.
The following topics will be covered: Foreign language policy and sociology of foreign language skills; didactics and methodology of foreign language teaching; different methodological concepts in foreign language teaching, traditional and alternative methods of foreign language teaching, recent developments in the organization of foreign language teaching.

Assessment and permitted materials

Regular participation, presentation in the course and submission of a written paper.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Regular attendance (20%); presentation in the course (30%); written work (50%)
