Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
Subject of the seminar is the representation theory of the p-adic group GL(2,F), where F is a local non-archimedean field. We will focus in particular on the classification of the cuspidal representations of GL(2,F). Possible further subjects are - Satake isomorphism and spherical representations - representations of Steinberg type - representations with a Iwahori fixed vector
Assessment and permitted materials
Grading depends on quality of the presentation
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
A first knowledge of methods for the classification of representations of p-adic Lie groups
Examination topics
Each participant will give a presentation
