Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Basic immunology: Immune response, structure of antibody molecules, antibody-antigen interactions, production and purification of antibodies (polyclonal, monoclonal, recombinant), characterisation of antibodies (affinity, specificity, cross reactivity), immunoaffinity chromatography;
Immunoprecipitation; Immunohistochemistry;
Principle of immunoassays and immunometric assays: labelling of antigens or antibodies, radioimmunoassay (tritium, I-125), enzyme immunoassay, fluoro-immunoassay, DELFIA, development and optimisation of immunoassays.
Data processing: construction of the calibration curve, quality control.
