Aims, contents and method of the course

This new lecture will be offered in the frame of the new PhD program 'Microbial Nitrogen Cycling - From Single Cells to Ecosystems'. It is obligatory for students enrolled in this program. Master and PhD students in any field of Biology are welcome to participate. Learning outcome: Successful participants have a broad overview and solid foundation in research related to Nitrogen cycling from the fields of ecosystems biology, microbiology and molecular systems biology. They are able to combine and apply disciplinary knowledge to interpret complex environmental issues in an interdisciplinary way.
