Ziele, Inhalte und Methode der Lehrveranstaltung

Publication of an individual's genom, genetics-epigenetics, prenatal an preimplantation diagnosis, In-vitro-Fertilisation (IVF) and fetocid, IVF for homosexual and lesbian couples are some of the themes. Also end of life decisions, euthanisia, brain death and so on will be discussed.

Give a short lecture (20 min) and write an essay.

Mindestanforderungen und Beurteilungsmaßstab

Students should learn the newest developments in medicine and something about the current debat in this field of medical ethics. They should learn to argue their own position in an secular and multi-cultural environment.
