Ziele, Inhalte und Methode der Lehrveranstaltung
The course presents a theological reflection on Jewish and Christian relations. The possibility and desirability of conversation between Jews and Christians is investigated. A comparative study is done on how Jews and Christians view theological issues, such as God, ethics, the Messiah and sin. The course also investigates possibilities of collaboration between Jewish and Christian communities on social matters such as ecology, social justice, homophobia and poverty. Finally, a Theology of Religions is formulated depicting the view Christians and Jews have of one another.
