Information

Ziele, Inhalte und Methode der Lehrveranstaltung

The course is held jointly with King’s College London. All sessions are online.
The aim of this course is that students from the University of Vienna and King’s College London analyse a case law of the CJEU or the ECtHR about taxation and Human Rights and present it in an online session in June.
Students who complete the course will also receive a certificate of attendance issued by the University of Vienna and King’s College London.
The maximum of students is 10. We will have a waiting list in case that there are any withdrawals.

Art der Leistungskontrolle und erlaubte Hilfsmittel

Presentation (15-20 minutes) and short paper (3-5 pages) based on case law of the CJEU.

Mindestanforderungen und Beurteilungsmaßstab

Students are required to give a presentation in class on 17th June (40%) and to write a paper (60%). The deadline for submission of the paper is 30th June. Continuous participation is also essential.

Prüfungsstoff

Some general materials will be distributed in preparation of presentations and papers. Beyond that, students are required to do their own research.

Literatur

No readings are required before the course starts.
