Ziele, Inhalte und Methode der Lehrveranstaltung
Der Kurs findet ausschliesslich in Englischer Sprache statt.This course provides an introduction to smuggling of migrants and trafficking in persons, their causes and conditions, the wider context of irregular migration and criminal laws and international frameworks to prevent and suppress these phenomena. The course thus stands at the intersection of criminal law, international law, and migration law.
Art der Leistungskontrolle und erlaubte Hilfsmittel
Der Kurs findet ausschliesslich in Englischer Sprache statt.The assessment in this course consists of two components: (1) individual and group exercises and participation in class (discussions, questions, other contributions) (30% of final grade); (2) final exam (40 mins duration) consisting of 20 multiple-choice questions and one open question (70% of final grade). The final exam will take place in the final hour of the last course day (16 June).
