Information
Ziele, Inhalte und Methode der Lehrveranstaltung
This course surveys international monetary and financial law, including the law of the International Monetary Fund, international financial rule-making, sanctions and sovereign debt. The course is open to diploma students, IREWI students, Erasmus and other exchange students.
Art der Leistungskontrolle und erlaubte Hilfsmittel
Class Participation: 40%, and 2 Reflection Papers 60% of the final grade. There is no exam.To stimulate discussion, participants will write two response papers concerning two cases over the course of the semester. A response paper can consist of any or all of critique, summary, elaboration, expressions of disagreement or puzzlement, and so on – as long as it is directed to the case for the next class.Response papers should be 1000 words long and need to be uploaded via Moodle 48 hours prior to the relevant class. They need to include the participant’s name, email address and word count.
Mindestanforderungen und Beurteilungsmaßstab
• Class Participation: 40%.
Seminars will be interactive. Students are expected to discuss assigned readings during class. Class participation counts for 40 percent of the final grade.
• 2 Response Papers: 60%
