Ziele, Inhalte und Methode der Lehrveranstaltung

This course offers you the opportunity to work through selected topics related to artificial intelligence scientifically, while receiving input and feedback directly from the field. The participation of Manuel Mofidian offers students the opportunity to benefit from practitioners, while the cross-sectional subject matter of Artificial Intelligence Law is brought closer.

In each session, one of the practitioners will first give a presentation on a relevant topic, after which you will present your chosen topics.

Manuel Mofidian, Attorney at law, founded the law firm boutique MOFIDIAN in 2021, which focuses on venture capital, IT (focus on SaaS and AI) and IP law. Manuel Mofidian is also a permanent external lecturer at the Vienna University of Technology (focus on AI law), teaches and lectures on several sites. He is also involved as a business angel in several start-ups.

Art der Leistungskontrolle und erlaubte Hilfsmittel

Homework or short presentation (5-10 minutes) - participants have the choice. The paper should be at least 5000 characters long.

A list of topics will be uploaded to Moodle. Before the first session students are asked to announce their elected topic. Students are also asked to announce whether a written homework will be submitted or whether a short presentation will be held.

Students may freely choose a topic if they wish, please let the lecturers know via email.

Mindestanforderungen und Beurteilungsmaßstab

Regular attendance and the achievement of 51% of the assessment criteria are required to obtain a positive course certificate. Registered students who do not attend the first unit without giving an important reason will be deregistered by the course instructor.

The basis for grading is: Lectures, discussion, term paper
