Mindestanforderungen und Beurteilungsmaßstab
In order to receive a passing grade, at least 50% of all performance assessment categories must be met. The exception to this is attendance, for which 80% must be achieved.

1. Introduction to the specific dynamics of commercial disputes in an international context.
2. Analysis of conflicts in the international context, including the prerequisites for dealing with such conflicts and the relevance of decision matrices.
3. Development of strategies for resolving commercial disputes in an international context.
4. Investigation of differences of the mediation process in (a) the business vs other contexts and (b) international vs national settings
5. Overview of the enforcement mechanisms utilized in international commercial disputes.
Time permitting, the course will also address topics of particular interest to students.The course will be conducted in English.The objective of the course is to provide instruction (incl by means of practical exercises) in the theory and practice of mediation in international commercial disputes. At the end of the course, students should have the knowledge and skills necessary to navigate the unique complexities of international commercial disputes in mediation. Additionally, participants will be introduced to the pertinent English-language terminology.
