Ziele, Inhalte und Methode der Lehrveranstaltung

Property rights are fundamental to the stability, prosperity, and well-being of individuals, communities, and nations. In the realm of international law, the protection of property rights plays a crucial role in promoting economic development, social justice, and the rule of law. This seminar offers a comprehensive exploration of property protection in international law, examining the legal principles, mechanisms, and challenges involved in safeguarding property rights across borders and in diverse contexts.

Art der Leistungskontrolle und erlaubte Hilfsmittel

Active participation during the meetings; furthermore, participants will have to prepare a written paper and present it orally in class and will have to discuss the papers of their colleagues.

Mindestanforderungen und Beurteilungsmaßstab

Graduate and undergraduate students, preferably with some previous knowledge in international law. Presentation of draft seminar paper in class (25%), class participation (5%), final seminar paper (70%). Knowledge of English.

Prüfungsstoff

Students have to prepare a written paper.
