Ziele, Inhalte und Methode der Lehrveranstaltung
This course aims to aid students as they are working on their MA thesis by giving them a platform to present their thesis projects. Peer feedback and feedback from the professors, as well as insights into other students' theses will enable them to improve their own work.
Art der Leistungskontrolle und erlaubte Hilfsmittel
Students are required to attend all sessions.During the Konversatorium you will present your thesis and receive feedback on it. In addition, you will attend the presentations of your peers and provide feedback to them.Please note: This course is currently planned for an in-person setting. While the course will be held via video-conference if the pandemic situation requires it, the mode of assessment will remain the same.Guidelines for your presentation:
Length: 15 minutes for the presentation of your slides + 10 minutes Q&A
On the first slide: Present a very brief overview of the topic, and what you have already done
On the last slide: Give an overview of what is still to be done

Mindestanforderungen und Beurteilungsmaßstab
You need to achieve a total of at least 50% of all points in order to pass the class.Your final grade is based on:
a) A formal presentation of your thesis during the Konversatorium which will be followed by a brief Q/A session (45%)
b) Participation during the sessions (35%)
c) The quality of your presentation slides which you will need to submit a week before your presentation date (20%)Please note that in order to attend the Konversatorium the following conditions need to be fulfilled:
a) You must have officially registered your MA thesis with the SSC when registering for this course!.
b) If your thesis is not supervised by either Prof. Keck or Prof. Reitzig you need to obtain the prior commitment of your supervisor for him/her to personally attend the session of the Konversatorium during which you present your thesis.
