Ziele, Inhalte und Methode der Lehrveranstaltung

The goal of the follow-up course is to conduct own empirical work building on the insights gained in the first course. In the beginning students will choose topics and we will discuss possible ways to test the ideas. After introducing methods to analyze the results, students develop their own research questions, a methodology testing those, and learn to download, prepare, code and analyze data in a statistical software program.

Art der Leistungskontrolle und erlaubte Hilfsmittel

Overview and in-depth knowledge of the fundamental data preparation and analyzing methods in management research
Ability to assess quality of empirical research in management
Practical experience by conducting a study on a management related issue

Mindestanforderungen und Beurteilungsmaßstab

Class participation (35% of total grade), Written individual Exam (20% of total grade), Project (45%)
50% of the total 100% are required to pass the course.
