Students will have to give two presentations during the semester. In October, they will present their research proposals, which should include the planned research questions, the planned methodology (theoretical or empirical), data sources, etc. In January, they will present the (preliminary) results of their theses. This second presentation can only be held if the supervisor confirms (until January 12, 2018; via e-mail to me) that the thesis is ready to be presented, which means that approximately 60% of the work has to be finished.

After each research proposal presentation in October, all students are expected to provide a few written comments to be shared with the presenter. By October 25, 2017, each student must submit (via e-mail) a document that summarizes the main feedback she/he has received on her/his own research proposal presentation. By January 12, 2018, each student must also submit a document that explains how the feedback was incorporated into the thesis (or why it was not incorporated). This document has to be shared with both the instructor and the supervisor.
