Ziele, Inhalte und Methode der Lehrveranstaltung
The course will discuss issues concerning financial stability and systemic risks in the financial sector, the mechanisms involved, and they chalenges they pose for regulation and for monetary policy.
Art der Leistungskontrolle und erlaubte Hilfsmittel
The examination will take the form of a takehome assignment involving the writing of a mock referee report on a specified scholarly paper, with a choice of one out of two.

Literatur
The course will mainly be based on articles in academic journals. A full reading list will be provided in due course. The book "The Bankers' New Clothes", Princeton University Press, Princeton 2013 (Paperback 2014) will serve as background reading.
