Ziele, Inhalte und Methode der Lehrveranstaltung

This course enables students to deepen their knowledge in the topics introduced throughout the sequence of Corporate Finance courses. The main aim of the course is to help students come up with a suitable topic for their dissertation in Corporate Finance. For this reason the course is only recommended for students who are in their final stage of their master studies.
The course will be based on students' presentations on the topics listed below. The list covers seminal papers in each area of Corporate Finance, but is far from being exhaustive. A kick-off meeting is held in March in order to allocate the topics. The final presentations will take place during the months of May and June. The course is held in English.

Mindestanforderungen und Beurteilungsmaßstab

The grade is calculated as a weighted average of the presentation grade (90 %) and participation grade (10%), including contribution to class discussions. There will be no mid-term exam. The minimum requirement for a positive grade is an at least 50% performance.
