040672 UK Theory and Empirics of Monetary Integration (E) (2009S)

You can reach a total of 80 points during the course. To pass the course you need a minimum of 41 points:
- 25 points: midterm exam
- 25 points: final exam
- 20 points: presentation on one of the topics from the list given below (groups of 2-3 students)
o In addition to the main background paper students should include at least one other source of information (journal article, commentary,¿) to provide a round-up of the topic
o Presentation with PowerPoint slides
o Please hand in one printout of the slides and a list of additional references
o Within each group each student is required to deliver an equal part of the presentation; the whole presentation should be an entity, i.e. a series of disconnected presentations should be avoided
o Presentations should take 10-15 minutes (5 minutes per student), and should give a critical view on the topic
o Topics are distributed on a first-come ¿ first-serve basis: After the end of the introductory session you can submit a list of your top-3 choices of topics to maria.silgoner@oneb.at. Please also indicate with whom you would like to give the presentation.
