Ziele, Inhalte und Methode der Lehrveranstaltung
Art der Leistungskontrolle und erlaubte Hilfsmittel
To pass the seminar you need a minimum of 21 out of a total of 40 points:
- 20 points: paper presentation on one of the presentation topics from the list given
below (in groups of 2-3 students)
o Presentations should not take more than 20 minutes, and should give a
critical view on the topic to stimulate the subsequent discussion.
o In addition to the 2-3 given background papers students should include at
least two other sources of information (journal article, commentary, data
bank ...) to provide a round-up of the topic
o Within each group, each student is required to deliver an equal part of the
presentation. The presentation should be an entity, i.e. you should provide
a clear story line. Make also sure that you link your presentations to the
lecture.
o Please provide handouts for the students (for example a summary printout
of the slides).
o Topics are distributed on a first-come - first-serve basis: After the end of
the introductory session you can submit a list of your top-3 choices of
topics to maria.silgoner@oenb.at. Please also indicate with whom you
would like to give the presentation. I will let you know about your topic in
the days after the introductory session.
