Information
Ziele, Inhalte und Methode der Lehrveranstaltung
The writing of a seminar paper (first version and final version) based on primary sources (and not secondary literature) on any topic bearing on intra-cultural warfare in Japan and/or Europe in the middle ages.
Art der Leistungskontrolle und erlaubte Hilfsmittel
Several short written assignments, the first and final version of the seminar paper, very short oral presentations, participation in the idcussion.
Mindestanforderungen und Beurteilungsmaßstab
I have no intention of giving good grades without serious work. The university is not the Caritas. Note that failure to hand in in time the first version of the seminar paper will automatically result in a 5 (failing grade) for the course, given that each student will have a peer reaer, who will depend on his/her partner´s timely redaction of this assignment.
Prüfungsstoff
The final paper should be about 40.000 characters (± 5%), including blanks, footnotes, title page, table of contents, bibliography (excluding charts and images). This is about 20 pages, double spaced with Times New Roman 12points font. Plus a short abstract. You can go over this limit by 5 pages if it makes sense and if you write to the point. No Logorrhea!
